A French Gilt Bronze Napoleon III Lantern

A large square lantern from the Napoleon III period, in Gilt bronze and Patinated bronze. Decorated profusely with scrolls, shells, acanthus and foliate. The canopy with acanthus top, C scrolled arms supporting patinated panels decorated with foliate embellishments. Cut glass panels following the shape of the canopy. The four arm branch within again acanthus and foliate decorated. In the Rococo manner.
