Louis XVI Antique Marble Fireplace Mantel

A period piece from the late 18th century, unusual in design with raised carved fluted panels with a classical urn to centre of the frieze and fluted end blocks. The flute jambs which taper to a shaped support on square foot blocks. All beneath a simple mantle and executed in a quality pale white marble with pencil veining.
