English Regency Antique Marble Fireplace Mantel

An Imposing and quality Regency period surround in Pencil Vein Carrara Marble. The jambs with tapering fielded panels, surmounted by Anthemion carved corner blocks. The moulded ingrounds supporting a lightly arched opening. The frieze with centre plaque of acanthus, foliate and conforming Anthemion carving. All beneath a wide and generous shelf. A very large and impressive antique fireplace from the early 19th century.
