An Early 19th Century Regency Bardiglio Marble Fireplace Mantel
A well drawn and superb quality English Regency fireplace in Italian Bardiglio marble. The paneled console jambs with anthemion carving to front and scrolled anthemion carving to sides, supported on substantial foot blocks and capped with square end blocks. A slim simple frieze, with edged under moulding and conforming edged mouldings to the in grounds framing the inverted interior slips. All beneath a generous lipped and stepped shelf. A substantial and quality piece from the early 19th century, circa 1810.
