An Antique 19th Century French Louis XVI Carrara Marble Fireplace

A large Louis XVI style antique 19th century fireplace carved in Italian pale Carrara marble. A very well executed piece, with bow fronted shelf and frieze. The jambs with carved scrolled console legs, acanthus decorated tops with beeded centre. The end blockings of carved square Patarae flanking a bow fronted frieze with running Guilloche carving, having four different carved rosettes. Retaining its deep side returns. All beneath a large and generous bow fronted mantle.
