A Large Antique French Louis XVI Style 19th Century Marble Fireplace

A large `Louis XVI style antique 19th century fireplace executed in lightly veined Calacatta marble. The jambs with cantered, tapered and flute carved semi detached columns, stood on circular footblocks, which are terminating in delicately carved acanthus leaf capitals. The frieze finely carved end to end with ribbon tied laurel leaf. The shelf with circular corners covering the capitals A large model of this type of fireplace, with very good proportions and scale. Large opening size. Superior marble and carving.
