18th Century Georgian Marble Neoclassical Fireplace
A late 18th century Georgian English Neoclassical chimneypiece in Statuary and Convent Sienna marbles, with a wide breakfront shelf. The centre tablet carved in high relief of a classical female figure in a garden. Flanked on other side by panels of inlaid fluted Convent Sienna marble. The end blocks of carved urns with bell drops, surmount pilaster jambs with carved panels of tied ribbons, urns, laurel leaf and Sienna marble ingrounds.
