Having double cushion mouldings to jambs and frieze, but also another roundel carving to top of jambs, which are then surmounted by carved roundel end blocks. All beneath a double reeded shelf. Executed in highly varigated “Old English” Marble, named after its use at that time however an Italian variant of Carrara, which is strongly veined against a pale background.
