A Georgian Style Statuary White and Siena Marble Fireplace

An early 20th century marble fireplace in the Georgian Neoclassical manner. Executed in Statuary white marble with Siena Marble panels to the Jambs and flanking the frieze. The mantel being stepped and moulded, the frieze with a carved centre plaque of Cornucopia, flanked either side by panels of Siena marble and with end blocks of carved laurel leafs. The end blocks surmounting carved capitals of drapery atop panels of Siena. Stood on square foot blocks. English Circa 1920’s
