Georgian Townhouse Installation

We are very pleased to showcase an installation of flooring, fire surrounds, and lighting in this Georgian townhouse in Kennington.

We were asked by our client to find a pair of early 19th century surrounds with simple architectural form, so we decided upon a pair in Pencil vein Carrara marble, also known as “Old English”, and installed them in the two downstairs rooms, where they complement the pale walls perfectly.

For the bespoke wood flooring we made a light grey/white hued engineered oak which, along with the surrounds and walls, creates a colour combination with an elegant appeal.

The lighting in the drawing room needed to be something special, so we installed a pair of ‘banana leaf’ chandeliers from our Murano collection. The delicate and fluid design of the individual glass pieces works incredibly well with the existing ornate ceiling rose, adding a graceful touch to the overall aesthetic of the room.

The end result is one of classic design with a contemporary edge; a style that is the quintessence of Marmorea.

Stone fireplaces were also installed in the kitchen and bedroom.
